Duplex Residence Glika Nera, Attica

Under Construction

Residence in Glika Nera. In fact, two small houses which are developed at separate levels, with independent outdoor access. The house on the ground is square, low, stretched. It appropriates the green space with an iron barrier to the street. Its interior opens into the garden through the open-air space under the corner canopy. The upper house is elongated, tall, tense. Open to sun and mount Hymettus. The continuous growth of its surfaces result in the triangular suspension of the facade, protecting the interior and offering shade. The two-family house simultaneously seeks protection and maximum exposure. The large excision of the upper floor will be complemented by a moving, triangular clothe canopy. Husk of exposed reinforced concrete, oxidized iron paddock. The dwelling stands between the adjacent ones, in a quiet suburb, as an elegant, challenging object, with its youthful descents evident through the unjustified, sharp form of the wall-to-ceiling pair.
